born --, died at Lansingburgh, N.Y., ---; married HOPE6 JONES,
baptized 1 Nov. 1761, died at New York City, 15 Sept. 1806, daughter of
Amasa5 //(Daniel4, Josiah3, Josiah2,
Lewis1),// and Hope (Lord).
He was one of the number injured by the blowing up of the school-house, in the
midst of the rejoicings for the repeal of the Stamp Act, 23 May 1766, but his
hurts were slight. He served during the Revolutionary War, as Quartermaster,
Cornet 10 July 1778, Lieutenant 2 June 1779, and Captain in Sheldon's Light
Dragoons. After the Vvar, he became a merchant in Lansingburgh, N.Y. He
afterwards lived in New York City.
In the Census of 1790, he was listed at Rensselaerwick, Albany Co., N.Y.
