70. CHARLES<sup>5</sup> SEYMOUR (//[[022.Daniel|Daniel]]//<sup>4</sup>,

//[[001.Richard|Richard]]//<sup>1</sup>), born at Hartford, Conn., 9 June 1742,
died there 1 Dec. 1793; married ELIZABETH<sup>5</sup> HUMPHREY, baptized at
Hartford, 29 Apr. 1744, died at Hartford, 20 Dec. 1814 ae. 70. daughter of
Diotheus<sup>4</sup> (//Nathaniel//<sup>3</sup>, //John//<sup>2</sup>,
//Michael//<sup>1</sup>) and Anne (Griswold).

Administration upon the estate of Charles Seymour late of Hartford deceased
granted to Nathaniel Seymour, his son, 28 May 1794. Inventory taken 24 May 1794,
the amount being £196:5:6. Distribution of said estate ordered 5 Nov. 1795, the
widow Elizabeth is to have one-third, and the following children, each a single
share of the remainder, viz. -- Nathaniel, Charles, Melinda, and Betsey.
Division was made 30 Apr. 1798 between his widow Elizabeth, eldest son
Nathaniel, youngest son Charles, daughter Melinda wife of Samuel Danforth, and
daughter: Betsey Seymour.
