JANE (BONNER) ELLERY (1691-1739)
Jane Bonner (1691-1739), great-great-grandmother of Governor Thomas Hart Seymour; daughter of Captain John Bonner of Boston; born in Cambridge, May 2, 1691; taken to London where, when she was seven years old, she had the smallpox; married in Boston, August 31, 1710, to John Ellery (1681-1742). This portrait [artist unknown] was presented to the Connecticut Historical Society, July 10, 1885, by Miss Mary Ellery Seymour, Governor Seymour's sister.
Her son, John Ellery, married Mary Austin; their son, William Ellery, married Susanna Keith; their daughter, Jane Ellery, married Major Henry Seymour, father of Governor Seymour.
