W. F. Seymour kept several journals during his life – which have been passed down to me. They date from 1876 through 1891, plus a small outlier from 1902 (the year he died).
This page is an attempt to digitize and transcribe these journals.
These journals are not diaries (per se). More often than not, they simply document the daily transactions – mostly financial – from his life. However, there are many references to family and neighbors, so there is likely some genealogical benefit.
NOTE: All pages were scanned at 600 dpi. However, to save space on this website, each was reduced to 300 dpi before being uploaded. If anything is unclear and you want to see the full-resolution images, please contact me.
