+GEORGE WASHINGTON<sup>8</sup> SEYMOUR (1833-1919) taught school, then conducted
+a dry-goods business in Hartford, firm of Deming & Seymour. He enlisted 29 Aug.
+in Co. D, 22d Regt, Conn. Vols., serving as Sergeant, until his discharge
+for disability. He settled in Monson in 1882. He was Town Constable for fifteen
+years. He was a member of Wyllys Lodge (Masonic, of West Hartford), and of
+Marcus Keep Post, G.A.R., of which he was Commander for two years. He was a
+Universalist in religion. He and his wife celebrated their Golden Wedding in
