Copy of this actual certificate online at Missouri Death index , This confirms that his parents were E Piersee and that the maiden name of Marions mother is Colvin spelled Colvan,. Marion died of Influenza, which was a worldwide epidemic after World War I. Not sure if there is a stone for this person but according to certificate body was interred at Carterville Cemetery. Mary Lou is listed as his wife on his death certificate no last name For some reason this child is not on the 1880 Census when he would have been 7 or 8. However, census are not infallible as my mother and several of her siblings were left off of a 1930 Census where they were in fact. Also the child could have been with a relative for some reason. This child is proved though by the death certificate. This child helps place his parents in the Illinois census in 1870 as Marion is the only child born there. They were there for a very short time it appears.
