This child is listed in an ancestral file on Family Search as being born to an Andrew Piersee or Piercy in Mason County. His birth year is given as about 1816 and indeed there is but one Andrew Piersee in Mason County in 1820 Mason County Virginia later to become West Virginia. The spelling is of course Piercy, Pearce, many ways , as this name is often wrong. This file is a great clue as James brother of Elias is married in Mason County Virginia and the only household he fits into as a child in Mason County is the Andrew Pearce household going by age column and male column. It is not a stretch in fact is it more than probable that these boys are brothers and when James grows up and marries he names a child Andrew after his father and also a child Elias after his brother.
