Dorothy Farr McDaniel, Travelers Rest Dorothy “Nama” Farr McDaniel, 76, widow of John Henry McDaniel, of 11050 Old White Horse Road, died June 13, 2000. Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Horace M. and Nannie Garlington Farr. She was a retired secretary with J.P. Stevens & Co. and a member of Travelers Rest United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Libby McDaniel Stinnett of Travelers Rest; a son, John Henry McDaniel III and his wife, Anita of Travelers Rest; and six grandchildren, Ryan Stinnett and his wife, Lindsey, Courtney Stinnett, Justin and Cody McDaniel and Josh Richardson. She was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor F. Farr. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive, with the Rev. Jimmy Dillard officiating. Visitation will be held today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Burial will be in Grand View Memorial Gardens, Travelers Rest.
