While Carrie's death certificate lists her father as C Y Hoyt, I believe her father is Edward Y Hoyt who is married to a woman named Verlutta. Carrie names a daughter Verlutta. There is a birth record for Carrie D Hoyt in May of 1858 in Middlesex Yates New York and I believe this is her. The mother's first name is too coincidental. In addition the Carrie born on that date also has Carrie's middle initial D.
