Newcomer's Sons Floral Hills Chapel. Friends may call from 1-2 p.m., at the chapel. Burial will be in the Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers family suggests contributions to the Alzheimer's Association. Ernest was born May 25, 1921 in Kansas City, MO. He had been a life long resident. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was superintendent of buildings and structures for the City of Kansas City Parks and Recreation for 32 years retiring in 1985. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Irene Wessley in 1993; and four brothers and sisters. Survivors include son Ron Wessley and his wife Connie; and daughter Debra Pirtle; brother Edwin Wessley, Ernest's twin brother; four grandchildren, Misty Dutcher and husband Craig Scott Pirtle and wife Lisa, Billy Wessley, and Tony Wessley and wife Janet; seven great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Dakota, Austin, Brittany, Ashley, Keegan and Danielle.
