William SINGLETON, (son of Jeconias SINGLETON), b. 1798, Kentucky

Was the subject of a will dispute of his father. His father apparently came to believe that he wanted to kill him and that William was sleeping with a slave woman Harriet. Later when his mother Jane Taylor Singleton dies she includes him in her will to make up for his father's overlooking him, Is possibly the William Singleton baptized at Clear Creek Church in the book Baptists on the American Frontier
