Mother: Lillie F MCDONALD, (daughter of William Shepherd MCDONALD), b. 20 Jan 1893, Chicago Illinois, d. 14 Jan 1932, Summerville Missouri
Birth years on this daughter vary as well. On 1900 census it is said she is born in Jan of 1890. In 1910 census she is listed as 16 which would put her birth year more like 1893 or 1894. In 1920, she is listed as 25 making the year around 1895. Finally on her tombstone she is listed as being born in 1893. Also information about where she was born is confusing. As on all census up to 1930 she is listed as being born in Illinois. Suddenly in 1930 census it states she was born in Mo. This may have been just an error of the census taker or a misunderstanding.Census records are as any genealogists knows a great guide but not an absolute and there are errors. Whichever date is correct she dies in 1932 prior to her parents in her young forties probably and it looks like Lavon Schwarzenholz is correct in that this daughter never married. n information on Lillie now shows her death caused on Jan 14 1932 due to a ruptured appendix. Her mother is listed as Annie McRichie a different variation of the spelling on her brothers death certificate of their mothers name. A curious error on her death certificate show her born on Jan 1903 and her birth place as Chicago, however that is erroneous as she is alive and obviously a young girl on the 1900 Missouri census for Summerville and gives her birth year as 1890. Her tombstone gives her birth year as 1893., Also the death certificate gives her age as 39 which is nowhere near being born in 1903. If she was 39 it would confirm she was born in 1893. I believe it was maybe written down in a hurry, heard incorrectly or perhaps her father who is the informant was so upset about his daughter dying at a relative young age that he fumbled on her birth year, , not thinking clearly. It does seem to confirm her birthplace as Chicago Illinois futher giving certainty that Lavon Schwartenzholz, my aunt who gave the background info on this family was correct that they lived in Chicago, before coming to Missouri.
