This child 's birth year is based on her appearance on the 1930 Census in her grandpa William McDonald's house where she is 4 years old. While I can't prove her parentage. I can deduce from circumstancial evidence that she is Lillie's illegitimate daughter. She could not be Maggie's child as Maggie has a son Trafford listed as being born 5 months prior to her on the 1930 census.. Since she is listed as Williams granddaughter on that census, it is impossible that her father is his son William as William dies in 1920, too early to father her. Also recent info from the Houston Herald makes me think she is not Lee's child as in 1938 in the paper there is the following reference“.Maggie S Cooper vs Lee H McDonald and Jessie McDonald minor and partition guardian HP Massey Feb 24 1938” in a later edition. and July 22, 1943 Probate settlements Jessie McDonald deceased guardian HP Massey“ If Lee were her father she would not need a guardian. Since Lillie predeceases both William and his wife Annie, this child would have been in the care of Annie, probably and when she died in 1937 her interests would require a guardian. She apparently died prior to 1943.according to a newspaper article reference.Houston Herald Texas County Missouri
