Father: George L KITCHEN, b. ABT 1861, Virginia, d. AFT 1912
I know very litle about George Kitchen except that he said on the census he was born in Va and both of his parents were born in Virginia. His age varies as he keeps getting younger. In 1900 Census in Wyandotte County he is 50 and in 1910 he lists his age as being 49. They are definitely the same man as his wife and children match. . Perhaps with a younger wife he did not want to seem old. His middle initial and estimated date of death come from the fact that he signs the death certificate of his wife G L Kitchen and obviously he is still alive in 1912. He was living in Wyandotte County Ks on Pacific Street in 1910 with his wife and remaining two children, Floyd and Erna, and his brother in law John Singleton and George lists his occupation as a teamster doing odd jobs, In 1900 he is living on Miami Avenue in Kansas City KS At the time of Nannie's death in 1912 they are living at 4503 Kansas Avenue. Names , ages and birth places of children established by census. Some children died in Mo and official govt site for Missouri is where those death dates are found.and documented as such.

Nancy's nickname was Nannie. Nannie says in 1900 and 1910 that she has given birth to 7 children and only five are living. She and George lived at 4503 Kansas Avenue at the time of her death
