246. ORSON HART⁷ SEYMOUR (Moses⁶, Aaron⁵, Moses⁴, John³, John², Richard¹), born at New Britain, Conn., 1 Sept. 1807, died at Hartford, Conn., 1 Dec. 1883; married at New Britain, Conn., 17 Sept. 1827, HENRIETTA MARIA⁷ STANLEY, born at New Britain, 30 June 1807, died at Hartford, 1 June 1879, daughter of Amzi⁶ (Gad⁵, Thomas⁴, Thomas³, John², John¹) and Lucy (Webster).

He was a merchant in New Britain, where he was deacon of the South Church for eighteen years. He removed to Hartford in 1864, and engaged in the manufacture of pottery.

iv.	FREDERICK STANLEY, b. 8 Nov. 1835; m. (1) Nov. 1855, HARRIET GRANGER, b. at Suffield, Conn., 1 Apr. 1834, d. 26 July 1874, dau. of Hiram K. and Harriet (Tuller); m. (2) 17 May 1882, GRACE COMSTOCK, dau. of Capt. H. T. Comstock, of Hadlyme, Conn. He was a superintendent of hardware manufacturing; enlisted July 1862 as 1st Lieut., Co. I, 14th Conn. Vols., and served until Oct. 1866.
