Marriage documented in Jackson County marriages official site. It was said by Mary Jane Cowell Barnes the niece of May Bertha Cowell that in a photo of Ann Stewart McDonald Whalen there was a striking similiarity to May Bertha Cowell. It took her quite by suprise. Thus One of Julia's children greatly resembled her sister Ann Stewart McDonald Whalen. I am grateful for all the additional information Mary Jane Cowell Barnes gave me and count her as a friend and kind woman.
