In 1870 John and Roxie are living in Wyandotte County Shawnee township with two children who do not appear to be hers from her first union or non union as the case may be. they are Stephen 18 and Liletta or something similiar to that 14. Perhaps these are her first children renamed or their middle names. These children could also be issue of an earlier marriage of John B Graves. Interestingly enough although I can't find Manoah her father, her brother John Singleton is living in Wyandotte County Shawnee township with his wife Mary Susan Mayfield Singleton and their three children including my great grandmother who is eight Nancy“ Nannie” Singleton .

While World Connect files have this as a male and female and an unknown because of the weird name, the 1850 Census lists this as a female.On the 1860 census of Westport, Jackson County MO she was living next to Manoah.She was 25 born in MO. The following children were listed with her:Franklin P. 8; Zaconia T. 6; Buchannon 4. All born in MO. Strangely she is listed under her mother's maiden name.Perhaps these children were illegitimate or her first husband had left her and she was trying to disguise this. 1 2 According to her death certificate she went by Roxie Ann and also she had vascular disease and was literally sick only a few minutes before she died. > Her son Gene signs the death certificate and did not know the name of her mother or father. She was a widow when she died,
