JOSEPH PATRICK RYAN (JAMES) was born on April 21 in either 1836 or 1837 in Newtownmoyaghy, County Meath, Ireland. He married (1) LAVINA O'MARA November 16, 1856 in Will County, Illinois. She was born abt. 1836 in Ireland, and died some time before 1866. He married (2) MARTHA “MATTIE” HAYES about 1866, daughter of DANIEL HAYES and SUSAN ASA. She was born June 7, 1849 in Illinois, and died November 12, 1934 in Muscatine County, Iowa.
