AARON5 SEYMOUR (Moses4, John3, John2, Richard1), born at Hartford, Conn., 4 Mar. 1749, died at West Hartford, 20 Aug. 1820; married 12 Jan. 1775, ANNA6 PHELPS, born at Litchfield, Conn., 2 Jan. 1754, died at West Hartford, 5 May 1823 aged 69, daughter of Capt. Edward5 (Edward4, Joseph3, Timothy2, William1) and Hannah ( Marsh).
He served in the Revolutionary Army, and was at Saratoga at the Surrender of Burgoyne. He was a farmer on land inherited from his ancestor, John Seymour, which continued in the family until 1876 or 1877. He and his wife were admitted to the church in West Hartford in 1775.
