99. ZADOC5 SEYMOUR (Stephen4, Ebenezer3, Richard2, Richard1), born at Waterbury, Conn., 30 Apr. 1757, died at Pompey, Onondaga Co., N.Y., 2 Nov. 1845; living in 1840, a pensioner, aged 83, at Pompey; married at Norfolk, Conn., 19 Jan. 1786, NAOMI5 MUNGER, born at Norfolk, 16 July 1765, died 24 Nov. 1840, daughter of Reuben and Elizabeth (Dudley).
He enlisted in the Revolutionary Army at Waterbury in Jan. 1777, marched to New Haven where he was taken with small-pox, and was there until he recovered in April. He then joined his company at Peekskill, in June marched to New Brunswick, and was in Washington's Army until Jan. 1780, when he was discharged at Morristown, N.J. He lived in Watertown, Conn., two or three years after the war, then removed to Norfolk, Conn., from there in 1790 to Galway, Saratoga Co., N.Y., where he remained seven years; then lived in Sherburne, Chenango Co., N.Y., until 1802, when he settled in Pompey.
