123. ABNER6 SEYMOUR (Uriah5, John4, John3, John2, Richard1), baptized at New Hartford, Conn., 12 May 1771, died at Madoc, Ontario, 29 Sept. 1849; married in 1795, CHLOE ANDRUS, born 10 Oct. 1775, died at Trenton, N.Y., 18 Nov. 1845. He was living in “Whitestown,” N.Y., in 1804. He lived in Wolcott, N.Y., and Ingersoll, Canada.

Children:
i. HARRIET7 (twin), b. 4 May 1797; d. 23 July 1826; m. in 1820, SAMUEL CARR, who d. in 1822. Four children (two sets of twins; the only child who survived, Harriet Caroline, was adopted by her uncle Uriah).
ii. HARRY (twin), b. 4 May 1797; was on a vessel which sailed from Boston and was captured off the coast of Algiers, part of the crew murdered and the rest sold into slavery; he was never again heard from.
iii. FREDERICK, b. 25 Sept, 1799; a foundryman and farmer; removed in 1826 to Fulton, N.Y., where he lived many years and for over half a century was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church; m. 15 Feb. 1826, MARIA GARDNER, b. at Washington, N.Y., 2 June 1806, d. 18 July 1882, dau, of Benjamin and Polly (Allen). Children:
I. Lucian Coman8, b. 7 Feb. 1827; res. Fulton, N.Y.; m. 24 Sept. 1852, Mary Helen Mix.
II. Chloe Ann, b. 6 May 1829; res. Kingston, Ontario; m. 8 Oct. 1857, Allan MacLean.
III. Achsa Marion, b. 28 Oct. 1831.
IV. Lindley Allen, b. 13 Sept. 1836; res. Fulton; m. 9 Jan. 1861, Hephzibah Hewitt.
V. Francis Allison, b. 23 Mar. 1839.
VI. Frederick DeValois, b. 24 Oct. 1844.
iv. URIAH, b. 16 Sept. 1801; d. 21 Apr. 1867; res. Madoc, Canada; m. 11 June 1831, HANNAH Jop OLMSTED, b. 18 May 1808. Children, born at Wolcott, N.Y.:
I. Kirtland Henry8, b. 17 July 1834; d. in 1836.
II. Frederick Elisha, b. 6 June 1838; m. 6 June 1877, Helen Josephine Wood, b. at Madoc, Ontario, 17 Feb. 1856, dau, of Alpheus Field and Eliza Anq (Ross). He was graduated from the University of Toronto, 1864; Gold Medallist in Modern Languages and History; for many years was Examiner in these subjects at the Toronto University; church organist; owner of an iron mine. Child:
(1) Theodore Frederick9, b. at Madoc, Canada, 30 Apr. 1878.
v. CALISTA, b. 23 July 1804; m. 25 Oct. 1832, ANGUS TIBBALS, b. Nov. 1805, d. at Madison, Conn., 24 May 1848. One child.
vi. CYNTHIA, b. 5 July 1806; d. in Iowa; m. DANIEL SNYDER, of Holland Patent, N.Y., who d. at Madoc, Canada.
vii. MARY, b. at Wolcott, 2 July 1808; m. in 1843, ROGER OLMSTED, b. at Wolcott, 22 Apr. 1802, d. at Ingersoll, Canada, Dec. 1879.
viii. HORACE, b. 8 Oct. 1810; res. Madoc, Ontario; m. (1) EMILY WARD; m. (2) JANE LEGGO. Children by second wife:
I. William Frederick8, b. 26 June 1856; m. 7 July 1879, Emma Louise woOden, b. 18 July 1855.
