On the 1910 Census this boy is listed as Wister not Allen, however 10 years later he is going by his first name Allen not his middle initial of W. But Allen's middle name is W. Perhaps with starting school he wanted a name that did not stand out! But this is the same child see middle initial and same year of birth. Also in the California death register it shows him and is indeed him as it shows his full name Allen Wister Garlington with the correct birth year and his death date.His mother's maiden name is shown as Farrell.
