After Isobel Pyott dies( around 1811 as she has her last child in 1810 and John remarries Mary Jane Stevenson in 1812. and has several children. John dies on dec 31 1873 at the 85 of senile decay . He dies a pauper. His parents are proved on his death certificate as Colin Carnegie and Isabel Greig.. He dies in the same parish Rescobie as where his daughter Catherine Carnegie is born.

The address where Margaret Ritchie grows up and later lives with Daniel on 64 East High Street intersects with Pyotts close per census. This may be a reference to a place named for grandmother Isobel Pyott or most likely her family maiden name..Isobel or Elizabeth as she was sometimes called married John Carnegie April 20, 1805 in Oathlaw Angus.She dies prior to 1812 when John Carnegie marries his second wife Mary Jane Stevenson and they go onto to raise a second family.
