He moved to Albuquerque New Mexico with his wife June and children due to the asthma of one of his children which was said to improve in the dry air of New Mexico.Note that William Bond is probably not Gerard's biological father. On the 1920 Census his last name is crossed off but looks like Newman and reads as such in the indext.. In 1915 when he is one years old it says clearly Newmon. William Bond was actually married around the time of Gerard's conception . At first I was not sure what to make of this but in the name of honest genealogy it must be said that early in his life when he shows up on the census he shows up with a different last name and circumstances merit a closer look perhaps at his birth certificate

Was said to have married at age of 13 or so. She loved to go to Las Vegas and gamble. Her husband died early in 1960 and she had a tough widowhood. She made the most of it.
