24. ENSIGN NATHANIEL4 SEYMOUR (John3, John2, Richard1), of Hartford, Conn., born at Hartford 17 Nov. 1704, was buried 14 Feb. 1761. He married at Hartford, 23 Dec. 1725, his first cousin, MARY4 SEYMOUR (9, i), born at Hartford 3 Nov. 1703, died there 27 Feb. 1758, in her 54th year (gravestone record), daughter of Capt. Thomas3 and Ruth (Norton).
He served in various town offices at Hartford, and was elected an Ensign of the Second Company of that place 6 May 1754. Administration on his estate was granted 23 June 1764 to Ruth Benton of Hartford, who gave bond with Ebenezer Benton of Hartford.
