234. AYRES7 SEYMOUR (Allyn6, Allyn5, Timothy4, John3, John2, Richard1), born at West Hartford, Conn., 23 Apr. 1784, died at Joseph Township, Ill., 2 Sept. 1862; married at Redfield, N.Y., 24 Feb. 1808, Lois R. FERGUSON, born at Whitestown, Oneida Co., N.Y., 9 Jan. 1794, died at Amherst, Ohio, 29 Aug. 1848.

Ayres settled at Adams, Jefferson Co., N.Y., about 1821, and removed to Elyria, Ohio, about 1834. He was a blacksmith and farmer, “a worthy Christian man.” In the War of 1812, he enlisted at Redfield, Oswego Co., N.Y., Oct. 1814, in the New York Militia.

Children, first six born at Redfield, N.Y., seventh and ninth at Smithville, N.Y., eighth and tenth at Adams, N.Y., eleventh at Amherst, Ohio:
