It has been asserted by some Seymour genealogists on this line that this man's full name is John Thomas Seymour and he goes by Thomas Seymour in his will and most of his documents and , for purposes of this genealogy I have listed him as John Thomas Seymour.but most his documents refer to him as Thomas.and this one references him as John Thomas Seymour Jr. Court record (ca. 1741): T. Fields suit is tried by a jury on August 8, 1741 and says “ Thomas Seemore otherwise known as J. Thomas Seemore, Jr.” Below is the will of Thomas Seymour date of will filed - 22 nov 1748 Lunenburg Co., VA (formed from Brunswick Co. in 1746) DB 1-484-485 Will of Thomas Symoor, Deceased In the name of God Amen I Thomas Symoor in County of Lununburgh & Parish of Cumberland in Virginia being in low Estate but in perfect memory I do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament first I bequeath by Soul Allmighty God in hopes of a Glorys resurrection, Believing in the true Massiah and that I shall be saved by his Merrits and after this natural life I desire to be buried by my Executors after mentioned in a desent manner and my funerall charges paid out of my Estate I ordain my loving wife & John Sparrow —Exors. of my Goods and chatt els to be Distributed as follows: Item I give and Bequeath George Seymoor one hundred Acres of the land where I live. Item I give and Bequeath to William Symoore one hundred Acres of lying and the said Track of Land. Item I give and Bequeath unto John Sparrow one hundred Acres of land at the place where he made his begining. Item I give and Bequeath unto my love wife Saray Symoor all my moveable Estate Goods & Chattles and to live on sd. plantation during her naturall Live.
