August Singleton is in Wyandotte County in 1910 with his wife Bettie who is 21 and his childen Frances 3, and Leroy 1. In 1920 he is a widow and he is still in Wyandotte County with Frances M 12, August G, 11 and Oral J 9. He must have moved back to Saline County Missouri however as several of he and Betties children die there before his death and he himself dies in Saline. . He is buried in Slater Cemetery in Saline County Missouri. He died of coronary thrombosis and was married to a woman named Nellie.at the time of his death.

Betties maiden name comes from the death certificate of her child John Samuel Singleton. Since Betties last child is born in 1916 and August is a widower in 1920 in Wyandotte County Kansas Census. Bettie must have died in Wyandotte County Kansas and there is no record anywhere of Betties death in Missouri at all.
