While Amos believes he was born in 1878 , as he says on his tombstone he is 4 years old on the 1880 Census. So his birth year is closer to 1876. or 1877. In 1900 he states he was born in 1877 of December. I have used that date.on his tombstone. In 1900 he is in Wyandotte County with his wife Lena 20 and his 6 month old son Archie . 1910 the family moves to Los Angeles in the Los Nielos district and his family has grown with the addition of Ross, Susie M (surely named for his mother) . In 1920 he moves back to Saline Co in Cambridge township and left at home are his wife Linnie now 39, his son Archie now 20 and Susie now 12. He is buried in Slater Cemetery in Saline County . He dies on March 26, 1956. He died of Arterosclerosis and also had an enlarged prostate according to his death certificate. At the time of his death he was married to a woman named Eva. Amos marries Eva at least by 1930 where he is on the census in Saline County Missouri. They are at that time childless.

She died of pulmonary tubercolois.
