Christine MACDONALD

Christine MACDONALD, (daughter of Andrew Paterson MACDONALD), b. 27 Mar 1881, Chicago Illinois, d. 27 Jan 1978, bur. Montrose Cemetery, Chicago Illinois

Birth info comes from SS number This daughter stays single all her life and lives with her father and sister Jessie until 1930 where she resides on Edgewood Avenue. She has no children.. She is listed on the census in 1900 as Christiana but Aunt Vonnie always knew her as Christine. She was probably named after her grandmother as Margaret's mother's name is Christina and her mother also had a sister named Christine. She came to Kansas City after her father's death according to Aunt Vonnie for a visit. She was probably the source of the genealogy story that there was family tree done by her father after the 1900's where it was discovered that Mary Queen of Scots, Andrew Carnegie and Jeanette MacDonald turned up on the tree. She is buried in Montrose cemetery and I am uncertain where she lived when she left Chicago, however her SS card lists these locations Bartlett, Cook, Illinois Cloverdale, Cook, Illinois Hanover Park, Cook, Illinois Ontarioville, Cook, Illinois She lived to the ripe old age of 97 years old and was the last child of Andrew's to die. . acording to Dorothy Diehl her Aunt Christine was a talented seamstress. p 1978-01-27 Chicago Tribune (IL) Christine's age on funeral home card is 95, however she was 97. She is buried in lot 711 Fairlawn section and died at Americana Health Care Arlington Heights.
