Montezuma PIERSEE & Sarah Ann "Annie " SCHRIVENER
Father: Montezuma PIERSEE, (son of Elias A PIERSEE), b. May 1876, Missouri
Note that there is an ancestral file for Montezuma Piersee with a wife Sarah Ann Schrivener however, and birth years are given as 1848 and 1858 for that couple, however those dates are off as she would have had to had children in her sixties and it does not match up for Montezumas census age at all. On the census's Montezuma's wife is listed as Annie S not the Sarah Schrivner born in 1848. . Annie is 27 in the 1910 Census Jasper County Missouri and it would put her birth year in around 1883. It is the first marriage for both according to the census.1910 Census and they have been married for nine years. For all these reasons on the census document which is somewhat correct I have chosen not to use the ancestral file as it does not make sense.. The World Connect file lists her as a Sarah Ann Schrivner which could be correct as many went by middle names and indeed on her daughter Goldies death certicate her name is listed as an Annie Schrivner or it could be that someone has gotten her confused with this Sarah woman, the wrong first name. I have chosen to add her with both names although she went by Annie on census and and her daughters death certificiate, not to be confused with the Sarah Ann born in 1848 which I pointed out is erroneous. According to the death certificate of his daughter Goldie this family lived at 702 N Madison in Webb City at the time of Goldie's death in 1918.
