Barnabus Franklin COWELL, (son of John LT COWELL), b. 4 Sep 1867, Missouri, d. 17 Mar 1914, Polk County
This Cowell child gives us the name of his mother, Charlotte Duff on his death certificate and probably a certain place of where most if not all of the Cowell siblings were born Ash Grove in Greene County Missouri. They are located here on the 1880 Census so John and Charlotte, his parents. probably lived there for most of their lives. Barnabus's nickname was Barney and he died of chronic nephritis with a complication of stomach hemorrhage at age 46. The informant on this is William H Cowell of Ash Grove Missouri who could be a sibling I did not find in 1880 Census who has left home by the time the rest of the family is there in Greene County Missouri. His father's name on his death certificate looks like John L J Cowell.
