17. Jehiel Seymour
17. JEHIEL4 SEYMOUR (Matthew3, Thomas2, Richard1), of Norwalk, Conn., and Huntington, Long Island, N.Y., born at Norwalk, died at Huntington before 11 Dec. 1753, when administration on his estate was granted. He married first, MARY JARVIS, born in 1704, daughter of William and Esther; and secondly, at Huntington, 11 Aug. 1751, RACHEL WRIGHT, baptized as an adult at Huntington 13 Apr. 1752.
Jehiel Seymour removed early in the year 1739 from Norwalk to Huntington, where he continued to reside until his death. He was buried in the Episcopal cemetery at Huntington, where in 1909 a little footstone inscribed “Mr Jehiel Seaymore” was found leaning against a tree. No settlement of his estate has been found.
