84. ELIAS5 SEYMOUR (Bevil4, Thomas3, John2, Richard1), born at Newington Parish, Wethersfield, Conn., 28 Apr. 1746, died there 6 Oct. 1828; married at Newington Parish, Wethersfield, 9 Jan. 1769, ELIZABETH5 WOLCOTT, born at Newington Parish, Wethersfield, 12 Aug. 1746, died there 4 Feb. 1832, daughter of David4 (George3, George2, Henry1) and Eunice (Buck). They owned the Covenant, 8 Sept. 1771.
He served as a private in Col. Samuel B. Webb's Wethersfield Regiment from 14 Apr. 1777 to Dec. 1779.
Will of Elias Seymour of Wethersfield dated 23 Jan. 1821, proved 10 Nov. 1828, names my wife; sons Theodore, Elias and Jeremiah, the latter of whom receives one-half of his father's farm in Avon, N.Y., and Elias 100 acres of the same; daughters Jerusha, Nancy, Eunice and Elizabeth (all unmarried), the latter of whom receives 20 acres of the above farm at Avon, N.Y.; son-in-law Seth Beckwith; daughter Eunice who is disordered in mind, and daughters Rachel and Thankful, the latter of whom has received a deed of 100 acres in Avon, N.Y, from her father. In the division of the estate, made 15 Sept. 1829, the daughters' names are Jerusha Seymour, Nancy Wells, Eunice Seymour, Elizabeth Hammond, Rachel Lowry, and Thankful Beckwith.
