161. Freeman Seymour

161. FREEMAN6 SEYMOUR (Freeman5, Richard4, John3, John2, Richard1), born at Hartford, Conn., 22 Aug. 1780, died there in 1861; married at Hartford, Conn., 2 Dec. 1819, MARGARET CLARK, born in 1792, died in 1870.

Children:
i. FREEMAN7 b. 28 Oct. 1820; d. 5 Apr. 1897; m. (1) MARY ROBBINS; m. (2) CAROLINE (PHELPS) ATKINS; m. (3) in 1880, MARY O. SMITH, of Enfield, Conn., who d. 10 Mar. 1923 ae. 81. dau. of Hon. John M. and Jane (Boyd). The third Mrs. Seymour had taught school some years in the South School on Wadsworth Street, Hartford, before her marriage. She was first president of the Charter Oak Branch, International Sunshine Society, and a member of the Hearthstone Club. She was also a member of the South Congregational Church, and of the Women's Auxiliary to the Hartford Y.M.C.A., and for twenty years was president of the Hartford branch of the Children's Aid Society.

I. William8, b. 18 Jan. 1848; d. 21 Apr. 1849.
II. Margaret (Ink, b. 20 June 1857; m. 5 Nov. 1879, Frank Brewer.
iii. DORUS CLARK, h. in 1824; d. at Middletown, Conn., 15 Jan. 1892.
iv. MARGARET, b. in 1828; d. in 1852.
